Al-Taj News – The Chairman and members of the Iraqi Business Council in Jordan extended their thanks to Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi for responding to the Council’s demands on behalf of Iraqi businessmen to facilitate their business activities.
The Council’s Chairman, Dr. Majed Al-Saadi, said that the Council presented several demands to Al-Zaidi, including the difficulty Jordanians face in obtaining visas to visit Iraq for business purposes with Iraqi businessmen, in addition to double taxation on Jordanian companies and stabilizing the Iraqi dinar exchange rate.
Al-Saadi explained that Al-Zaidi responded positively to the demands, affirming his insistence on completing the Basra–Aqaba oil pipeline project as quickly as possible, and moving toward canceling the requirement for Jordanians to obtain a visa to enter Iraq and stabilizing the exchange rate.
